The last step before you hit send.
Never send the apology email.
Presend audits the exact email you are about to send — deliverability, rendering, copy, links, and compliance risk flags — then separates measured tasks from non-scoring expert advice.
You get a test address. Send any email to it. The audit starts on arrival.
A test send in, an audit out.
Send your test
To your Presend address, from whatever you already use to send. No integration, no credentials.
Read the audit
Deterministic checks run first. Relevant lenses are selected from nine specialist doctrines; the expert review completes only when its required quorum returns.
Fix, re-send, verify
Re-sends thread as versions. A later version can verify a prior finding when the same measured check no longer fails.
The deterministic battery.
Measurable facts are computed by code, not guessed by a model. The report keeps an unavailable measurement unavailable instead of presenting it as a pass.
SPF · DKIM · DMARC alignment
Authentication parsed from the real headers of your send, aligned against your From domain.
Blocklists
When a public sending IP is available, Presend queries its configured DNS blocklists and reports any unavailable lookup.
Gmail / Yahoo / Microsoft bulk-sender rules
Relevant sender requirements checked for messages with bulk or marketing signals, using the evidence available in that send.
One-click unsubscribe (RFC 8058)
For bulk or marketing messages, List-Unsubscribe and List-Unsubscribe-Post headers are inspected and reported.
Gmail 102 KB clip
HTML weight measured against Gmail’s clipping threshold — before the clip cuts your footer.
Broken & staging links
Up to 25 eligible HTTP(S) links are safely probed. Action and personalized URLs are counted but never opened.
Merge-tag leaks
Unrendered {{first_name}}, *|MERGE|*, and %%tags%% in the subject or body.
Subject truncation
Grapheme count compared with a mobile-display heuristic, reported as a warning rather than a guaranteed crop.
Preheader leaks
Missing preview text, or “View in browser” showing as the first line in the inbox row.
Image alt coverage
Text-to-image balance and alt attributes — what the email says with images off.
Plain-text part
A multipart/alternative text version present alongside the HTML.
UTM consistency
utm_campaign values compared across the HTTP(S) links detected in the submitted HTML.
Nine specialist doctrines. A quorum-backed review.
Presend selects the lenses relevant to the message. The panel completes only when at least two-thirds of the selected reviewers succeed; otherwise it remains incomplete.
Strategist
One job per email — does the send have a point, and does everything serve it?
Deliverability
Interprets authentication, reputation, and sender-rule signals beyond the raw facts.
Email developer
Rendering fragility, client quirks, and clip behavior across real engines.
Designer
Visual hierarchy, brand fit, dark mode, and mobile legibility.
Copywriter
The inbox row, hook placement, promise integrity, and CTA copy.
Accessibility
WCAG for email: alt text, contrast, semantics, and reflow.
UX
Conversion mechanics, CTA dominance, and email-to-landing continuity.
Lifecycle
Welcome and cadence context, merge-tag hygiene, and consent quality.
Compliance
Cited risk flags to review with counsel — flags, never clearances.
Expert findings affect the score only when their cited evidence resolves to this audit. Unsupported suggestions are marked advisory and score zero. Every scoring task includes What · Why it matters · Fix.

USD base prices. Stripe may show a configured local currency and calculates applicable tax. Unmetered checks remain subject to fair-use and abuse controls. Founding Preview eligibility is not a guarantee that every requested client will capture: delayed or unavailable targets stay labeled that way, and simulations never fill a real-client slot.

Do I need to connect my ESP?
No. Presend is a test address, not an integration. Send to it from Klaviyo, Mailchimp, beehiiv, HubSpot, your own SMTP — anything that can send an email. The audit runs on the exact message that arrives, headers and all.
Is my email content private?
Reports are private by default. Primary email storage is in the EU; the listed service providers process content only to run Presend. Anonymous check content is deleted automatically after 7 days, and account deletion follows the privacy policy. Compliance findings are cited risk flags to review with counsel — never legal advice or clearance.
What does the score mean?
The observed score is 100 minus the penalties found in that received version, and never rewrites history. Marking work done changes only a clearly labeled projection; re-send the changed email for Presend to verify it.
Can I test again after fixing?
Yes — that is the point. Re-sends to the same address thread as versions (v1, v2, v3) with a score for each. When a later version passes a check that failed before, that finding flips to verified — measured, not self-declared.
Does Presend send anything on my behalf?
No. Presend only receives. It never sends to your list, never touches your ESP, and never needs sending credentials.
